The short version
Wrapped analyzes conversations on your device. We do not operate a server that receives your messages, sell personal data, use it for advertising, or use it to train machine-learning models.
Conversation sources and contacts
You choose the data source. On iPhone, Wrapped can receive selected Messages history directly from the Wrapped Mac or Windows companion over your local network, read a file you select, or connect directly from your device to GroupMe after you authorize access. A GroupMe access token is stored in the iOS Keychain until you disconnect GroupMe. If you allow Contacts access, names are resolved on your device. Wrapped does not receive your GroupMe password or upload your Contacts database to us.
Analysis and local storage
The full imported message archive is discarded after preparation. Wrapped can store calculated results on your device so you can reopen them, including counts, percentages, response-time summaries, verdict labels, selected spotlight excerpts, and capped timeline previews. These saved results remain on your device until you delete the Wrapped result or remove the app’s local data.
Sharing
Wrapped shares nothing automatically. When you choose a share action, the app creates an image and opens the device’s share sheet or a destination app. Names are shown by default. You can turn on Names Hidden before sharing to replace recognized participant names and conversation titles in generated share images. A card can still include a phrase or short excerpt that is visibly part of the card you chose to share. The destination you select has its own privacy policy.
Purchases
The optional Unlimited purchase is processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. Wrapped receives the product and transaction status needed to unlock Unlimited. We do not receive or store your full payment-card information. Apple’s or Google’s privacy policy governs its payment processing.
Accounts, advertising, analytics, and tracking
Wrapped does not require a Wrapped account and does not include advertising, behavioral tracking, third-party analytics, or a developer-operated message backend. The app stores local settings and privacy-safe sharing aliases on your device.
Retention, deletion, and choices
Delete an individual result from Your Wrappeds to remove that result and its comparison history. Disconnect GroupMe inside Wrapped to remove its saved access token. Uninstalling removes the app’s local container, although security and purchase-related state stored by iOS, the Keychain, App Store, or Google Play can remain for fraud prevention, free-use limits, purchase restoration, and platform records.
Children
Wrapped is not directed to children under 13.

Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. For privacy or support questions, use the Wrapped support page. Do not include private messages, access tokens, backup passwords, or payment details in a support request.
